# 408.280 Applicability; description of the sardine processing subcategory.The provisions of this subpart are applicable to discharges resulting from the canning of sardines or sea herring for sardines. These provisions, however, do not cover the relatively new steaking operation in which cutting machines are used for preparing fish steaks.
