# 169.715 Radio.(a) Radiotelegraph and radiotelephone installations are required on certain vessels. Details of these requirements and the details of the installations are contained in regulations of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Title 47, Code of Federal Regulations, part 83.(b) A valid certificate issued by the FCC is evidence that the radio installation is in compliance with the requirements of that agency.
