# 385.417 Availability of motor carrier's safety permit number.Upon request, a motor carrier must provide the number of its safety permit to a person who offers a hazardous material listed in § 385.403 for transportation in commerce. A motor carrier's permit number also will be available to the public on the FMCSA Safety and Fitness Electronic Records System website at *https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov.*[84 FR 51433, Sept. 30, 2019]
