Notice of open meeting.

**SUMMARY:**

This notice announces a meeting of the Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee. The Federal Advisory Committee Act (Public Law 92-463, 86 Stat. 770) requires that public notice of these meetings be announced in the *Federal Register* .

Tuesday, February 27, 2001, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, February 28, 2001, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

*Purpose of the Meeting:* The major purpose of this meeting is for the full committee to hear status reports from its two subpanels, one dealing with the  burning plasma physics charge and the other dealing with reviewing the theory activities.
