# National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology: Assumable Waters Subcommittee; Notice of Public Meeting

Notice of Federal advisory subcommittee meetings.
**SUMMARY:**
Consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is giving notice of an upcoming public meeting of the Assumable Waters Subcommittee convened under the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT). The Assumable Waters Subcommittee will provide advice and recommendations as to how the EPA can best clarify assumable waters for dredge and fill permit programs pursuant to Clean Water Act section 404(g)(1). The EPA is undertaking this effort to support states and tribes that wish to assume the program. Similar to the parent NACEPT, the subcommittee represents a diversity of interests from academia, industry, non-governmental organizations, and local, State, and tribal governments. **DATES:**
The Assumable Waters Subcommittee will hold a three-day public meeting January 25th through 27th, 2017, at the Courtyard Arlington Crystal City/Reagan National Airport Hotel. The meeting will be held during the following times:
• January 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT
• January 26th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT
• January 27th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EDT

On January 25th and 26th, 2017, public comments will be heard beginning at 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. EDT or until all comments have been heard.
