**AGENCY:**

The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Comptroller, Department of Defense (DoD).

**ACTION:**

30-Day information collection notice.

**SUMMARY:**

The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance the following proposal for collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act.

**DATES:**

Consideration will be given to all comments received by May 21, 2021.

*Type of Request:* Revision.

*Number of Respondents:* 300.

*Responses per Respondent:* 1.

*Annual Responses:* 300.

*Average Burden per Response:* 20 minutes.

*Annual Burden Hours:* 100.

*Needs and Uses:* The information collection requirement is necessary to obtain information on deceased debtors from probate courts. Probate courts review their records to see if an estate was established. They provide the name and address of the executor or lawyer handling the estate. From the information obtained, DFAS submits a claim against the estate for the amount due to the United States.

*Affected Public:* State, local, and tribal governments.

*Frequency:* On occasion.

*Respondent's Obligation:* Voluntary.
