**SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION:**

Under the PRA (44 U.S.C. 3501 *et seq.* ), Federal agencies must obtain approval from the OMB for each collection of information that they conduct or sponsor. “Collection of information” is defined in 44 U.S.C. 3502(3) and 5 CFR 1320.3(c) to include agency requests or requirements that members of the public submit reports, keep records, or provide information to a third party. The OCC asks the OMB to extend its approval of the collection in this notice.

*Title:* Survey of OCC-Supervised Community Banks.

*OMB Control No.:* 1557-0236.

*Type of Review:* Regular.

*Affected Public:* Businesses or other for-profit.

*Description:* The OCC has a continuing commitment to assess its efforts to provide support and technical assistance to OCC-supervised national banks and Federal savings associations (community banks) that primarily serve the communities in which they are located. To perform this assessment, it is necessary to obtain from community banks feedback on the effectiveness of the OCC's current efforts and suggestions for enhancing its supervisory efforts and assistance. Previously, the OCC limited the scope of its survey to a specific subset of community banks. The OCC is revising this information collection to remove this subset limitation. This revision provides the OCC with flexibility in administering the survey and enables the agency to determine which community banks to survey each year considering various factors such as specific business models.

Using the Survey of OCC-Supervised Community Banks, the OCC will collect non-generalizable information about customer satisfaction. The OCC will use this information to assess the needs of the community banks surveyed and its current efforts to address those needs. This information will enable the OCC to focus and enhance its supervisory, training, and outreach activities with respect to community banks.

*Estimated Frequency of Response:* Annually.
