# § 4242. Certification under Pelly amendment

section 1978(a)(2) of title 22

If the Secretary finds in administering this chapter that a country does not adhere to the CITES Ivory Control System, that country is deemed, for purposes of , to be diminishing the effectiveness of an international program for endangered or threatened species.
