# § 70701. Organization

**(a)** **Federal Charter.—** Frederick Douglass Memorial and Historical Association (in this chapter, the “corporation”) is a body corporate and politic in the District of Columbia.

**(b)** **Perpetual Existence.—** Except as otherwise provided, the corporation has perpetual existence.
