# § 1722. Departmental distribution of publications

section 1701 of this title

Government publications printed for or received by the executive departments, whether for official use or for distribution, except those required by  to be distributed by the Director of the Government Publishing Office, shall be distributed by a competent person detailed to this duty in each department by the head of the department. He shall prevent duplication and make detailed report to the head of the department.
